Where is the Women’s Recharge Studio?

2 Dinwoodie Rd, Thornlands. Brisbane.

Located directly across Pinklands Sports Grounds and approximately 2 minutes drive from Victoria Point Precinct.

What do I wear?

Retreat and classes: You may like to wear active wear attire or comfy yoga clothes. Whatever feels good for you.

The Womens Circles : I encourage you to wear something that makes you feel feminine. This might be a little bit of colour, a dress, an essential oil, a necklace - whatever you feel tuned into. You don’t have to look a certain way or be a certain anything - this is just so you can tune into YOUR feminine side that little more on the night. Coming out of our masculine to do, busy, structured ways and into the soft, slow, flowy, intuitive, magnetic, energetic life force of a creature you are - channel that in a little piece of your attire. You will not be asked to justify it, this is purely your own intention.

I feel uncomfortable starting a yoga class, don’t I have to be flexible to do yoga?

No not at all! Yoga is for everybody! I aim to make you feel comfortable when you’re here and feeling good in your practise. You are continually guided to honour what is feeling good for you at the moment and encouraged to just focus on yourself throughout the lesson (so no one is watching you). I have a strong emphasis on what feels good for you, not what the pose looks like. I personally don’t adjust anyone. I believe you are in tune with you body and will place yourself in a position that feels right for you in that very moment. Beginners are encouraged and warmly welcomed here.

Where do we park?

You are asked to park out the front of the property on the lawn. There is plenty of space for cars. The gate will be half open. This is to ensure no cars can drive down the driveway as we keep the children extra safe whilst in the yard.

You are kindly asked not to park on the next door neighbours grass, as they put a lot of time and energy into their lawn. Thank you for your assistance and respect for the neighbours.

I have 3 children is that too many children to bring to a Yoga Tribe Class?

Of course you can bring all your children. And yes mumma of 3, please come and get some much deserved “YOU” TIME!

Yoga Tribe welcomes children of all ages and they are all free. We have a beautiful community of home school families that come through too. Everyone is welcome here.

What do the children do during the Yoga Tribe Class?

The children are safely playing in the studio room alongside us. There is a carer in the room who gives the children some attention while you squeeze some “you time” on the mat. There is a corner dedicated to children with toys and things to do. They are free to roam the room as they please, and there is no pressure for the children to be quiet. I am happy to share a giggle or high five with one of the children as we flow through the class. I am more than happy to accomodate any keen young yogis and place mats out for them too. We love our little yoginis!

Is the retreat just for Mother’s?

No, other women are more than welcome to come along and feel rejuvenated and recharged.

My children are not with me Fridays, can I come on my own to the playgroups?

Yes of course come along! Just a kindly reminder that the children are happily making noise whilst playing. But we have had mother’s come solo, it is welcomed.

Can my Mother attend a Yoga Tribe Class with us?

Absolutely! We have had Grandmother’s bring their grandchildren on their own and we’ve had Grandmother’s come along with the family to the classes too. This is more than welcome it’s so beautiful to witness this experience of you all together.

On the Retreat can I leave to feed my baby and come back?

Yes please do whatever you need to do. I will send you an itinerary of the retreat so you can possibly schedule the perfect time for you and your bub. The retreat is held on a large property and you’re more than welcome to bring a support person and bubs on the property for the day. They can set themselves up in the Media Room with aircon, while you have the day to yourself and can be accessible, if this feels comfortable to you. We want you to still be able to have your you time, and we will be flexible with you on the day moving things around so you receive this - it’s what we all do here, we help each other out.

My children are hungry during that time schedule at Yoga Tribe, can I take them outside to have their morning tea?

You are able to feed your children in the studio, on the mats, wherever you like. We understand children graze and need food at demanding times (I have 4 little munchkins). The room gets cleaned after every class, crumbs are a beautiful sign of a child who is getting their needs met. Go right ahead.

Please note Jasmine sometimes has Isla with her during the Yoga Tribe Playgroup classes (only these classes). Jasmine is so grateful to hold classes with her children present with her, and thanks all the yoga mummy students for their constant support in this choice.
